“Integrity: choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.”
One to One
In a one-to-one coaching session, my role as coach is to help you to think well and independently for yourself and to use my expertise to provide you with the environment, time and space to keep you thinking for yourself. It may be that you have a number of specific, stated goals that you would like to accomplish through coaching or that you are looking for clarity of thought around some emerging ideas. My role as coach is not to do your thinking for you, or to advise, or to provide information/ideas without invitation. Instead, my role is at all times to maintain a safe, generative and non-judgemental environment in which you can think through ideas and solutions that work for you. I will provide you with a particular quality of attention and carefully constructed specific questions to enable you to think well for and as yourself. Often it is in the times that we give ourselves ‘thinking space’ that the best ideas emerge.
Team
The performance of teams, at all levels, from C-Suite and beyond, is crucial for the success of any business. Understanding how individuals work together in teams and identifying areas that would benefit from improvement are just two of the services that team coaching can offer. I work with individuals within the teams as well as with the groups together to safely and confidentially recognise behaviours and patterns of behaviour that have the greatest impact on team performance. From this we create practical and bespoke actions to implement within the organisation in order to achieve high-quality and sustainable results.
Lawyer and Law Firms
I work with individual lawyers and law firms of all sizes to support their thinking on diverse topics including wellbeing in the law; creating a coaching culture; sustainable work-life integration; identifying the best behaviours that support the creation and maintenance of high-performing teams; and understanding how to develop talented lawyers in to successful leaders.
